In August I visited Kyrgyzstan with my soon-to-be-wife, cousin, and his wife. It was a great experience, and my first time in Asia. We drove something like a thousand kilometers; we rode horses, drank their (fermented) milk, and ate their meat; we hiked at 3,700 meters above sea level.

There's Kasia on horseback with Duban, our Kyrgyz guide.
But enough about that, as I should get back to talking about the really interesting stuff: my experiences building SaaS products.
Trophy
In August Charlie continued working on SEO and AEO. The sales pipeline basically went quiet as the whole world went on vacation. He also created and released the gamification intelligence report.
I built streak pauses and streak days off, allowing for still more customization in our customers' streak features. I also added anniversary achievements and improved our billing page and billing experience.

Charlie came to Poland toward the end of August, and we spent the time mostly solidifying the roadmap for the rest of the year and doing outbound sales.
Campfire
In August I finally did the things I'd been meaning to do in July. I kicked off the next cycle of TikTok marketing toward the end of the month, so hopefully by the end of September I'll have some idea about how that's working out. And I launched Campfire's Update 43, which localizes Campfire into Spanish and introduces some quality-of-life improvements.

I also accepted some new creators into the Creator Program.
Distractions & Personal Life
My homebrewing hobby continues. I have drunk my ciders and bottled my first cyser. I also bottled (and drank about 1/3 of) my blackberry hydromel. And I have about 8 liters of Christmas/Winter Cyser aging that I have high hopes for.
Aside from that, I began work on a side project that grabbed my attention and enthusiasm. The idea is basically an AI-native, well-designed version of RPG Maker, with a special emphasis on 2D survival/crafting/open-world games. It's been really fun to build (I've probably written 10 lines of code myself; Grok 4.6 does the heavy lifting) and I think it could sell as a one-time purchase Steam product that runs fully locally (aside from the AI calls that go to the cloud).
Realistically, with my wedding coming up in like two weeks, I won't be able to do much with this until October. But I think I can release it by the end of the year, in early access at least. I bought the domain and got an email address, so I'm not gonna let this one die on the vine. Introducing...

Next Month
September will be a quiet month work-wise, as I'll be getting married! The next time I write a post on this site, I'll have a wedding band on my finger. Crazy stuff.
